Q:
Should I hang my herbs to dry?

A:

To hang herbs to dry, gather 4-6 stems of the herbs together and tie a rubber band around the ends. Run a loop of string through the bunch and hang in a warm, dry spot. Allow to dry for 7-10 days or until the leaves are crackly.

Hanging herbs to dry is acceptable but is not the best method for some herbs. Small stemmed herbs such as thyme are best spread on a flat surface or placed loosely in a paper bag.
